Introduction

Welcome to BillBuddy! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BillBuddy platform ("the App"), which allows you to pay bills, trade cryptocurrencies, and manage digital assets. By using BillBuddy, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App.

BillBuddy is operated by Billbuddy Technologies Limited, registered under the laws of Nigeria.

Account Creation and Eligibility

To use BillBuddy, you must create an account. By registering, you affirm that you are at least [18] years old and capable of entering into a legal contract. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account details up to date.

You must also ensure that your use of the app complies with any applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

BillBuddy offers the following services:

• Bill Payments: Users can pay utility bills, subscriptions, and other recurring expenses through BillBuddy.
• Cryptocurrency Trading: Users can buy, sell, and trade supported cryptocurrencies and digital assets on the platform.
• Digital Asset Management: BillBuddy provides tools for managing and storing digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and tokens.

User Responsibilities

• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your BillBuddy account and password. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility.
• Compliance with Laws: You agree to use BillBuddy in accordance with all applicable laws, including regulations concerning cryptocurrency transactions, financial transactions, and bill payments.
• Prohibited Activities: You agree not to engage in:
  • Fraudulent or illegal activities.
  • Any activity that could harm the security or integrity of BillBuddy’s services.
  • Misuse of the App’s services for money laundering, terrorism financing, or other illicit purposes.

Fees and Charges

• Bill Payment Fees: BillBuddy may charge service fees for processing bill payments. Fees are disclosed before each transaction.
• Crypto Transaction Fees: BillBuddy charges a transaction fee for buying, selling, or trading cryptocurrencies. These fees are clearly displayed before completing any transaction.
• Third-Party Fees: Additional fees may apply for transactions involving third-party services, such as banks, crypto exchanges, or payment processors.

Payment Methods

BillBuddy supports multiple payment methods, including bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and cryptocurrency wallets. By using BillBuddy, you agree to the terms of these payment methods as provided by our payment processing partners.

Cryptocurrency Risks

Cryptocurrency investments are volatile, and BillBuddy makes no guarantees about the value or profitability of any digital asset. You acknowledge that investing in cryptocurrency carries inherent risks, and you agree to assume full responsibility for any financial losses or gains resulting from such activities.

BillBuddy is not liable for any changes in the market value of cryptocurrencies, network downtimes, or transaction failures.

User Content

By using BillBuddy, you may upload or create content such as payment histories, transaction records, or feedback. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant BillBuddy a license to use, modify, and display this content as necessary for the operation of the platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on the rights of third parties.

Termination and Suspension of Accounts

BillBuddy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at its discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we believe that your account poses a risk to our platform or other users.

Upon termination, you will no longer have access to BillBuddy’s services, and you must immediately stop using the app. Any fees or payments owed prior to termination remain your responsibility.

• Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, BillBuddy is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App, including any loss of data or financial losses.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold BillBuddy harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

BillBuddy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our website, and the updated Terms will become effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review these Terms regularly.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from your use of BillBuddy will be resolved through binding arbitration. You agree to resolve any disputes on an individual basis, and not as part of a class action.
